Equine Liability Insurance
Protect your assets and your peace of mind with an Equine Liability Insurance Policy.
Liability insurance is available for a variety of equine related activities – ranging from a full scale commercial horse boarding, training and riding instruction operation to the back yard horse owner’s personal pleasure use.
The policy provides protection if you or your organization becomes legally liable for third party bodily injury or property damage claims to which this insurance applies. The policy includes medical payments coverage and defense coverage along with supplemental coverage, such as fire legal liability. Note that “third party” does not include family members or employees. (If you have employees, you will want to look into the need for Workers’ Compensation Employer Liability insurance.)
The available equine liability insurance policy limits may vary depending on the insurance carrier. The most the company will pay during a policy year in this example, is an aggregate of two times the occurrence limit.
- $500,000 per Occurrence Limit, $1,000,000 Aggregate
- $1,000,000 per Occurrence Limit, $2,000,000 Aggregate
While shielding your liability, you may also want to review the insurance on your horse. Contact a Blue Bridle agent to inquire about the additional types of insurance that relate to you, your business or your equine organization.
